Meadow twined – strangled
Rooted so deep, the flowers whimper
Water gushing – wasting
Moss and fungi prevails!

Claustrophobic in the cave,
Fireflies – they light it
I sit under the damp leaves – facing the waning flame
Pale from hunger and neglect

Exhausted –hadn’t eaten in days
Nights spent, trying to stay alive
Health ran downhill – I was uphill
What would happen to me?

Lost touch – 3 months ago
Cave was a mess – as was I
Civilization, carving for it – to it was I dead?
No one came for me

Realized – those who claimed to care
Tellers of long tales
Doubt now –how long will I survive?
Will die, in the cave – surrounded by fir
